Skarven

This is a relatively easy ski trip to up the mountaintop with an exciting downhill slope.

Park your car next to the shooting range near Hatlen. Follow the ski trail until you reach the second bridge and cross the bridge at the sign for Måsvassbu. After the bridge, climb up along a steep ridge to the right of the riverbed. Follow the ridge up to Vårseterhjellen. Here, you will meet a ski trail from Øvre Kavli. There is normally a prepared track up to Skarsetra. From Skarsetra, begin the ascent from behind the cabin and move up along the ridge until you are above the tree line. After you pass the tree line, move diagonally up to the right in the direction of the mountain gap between the peaks Søre Klauva and Skarven. Move up the mountainside until you reach the top. It is also possible to follow the ridge throughout the final section. Beware of the large snow cornice at the mountain ridge and the peak. Source:
