This trail goes along the coast of Gjemnes and offers a great view over the Batn Fjord. It is easy to follow, and you can walk much further the endpoint with the Stikk UT postbox.
The trail follows a gravel road that runs parallel to E39 along the coastline. The starting point is down by Astaddalen Museum and Outdoor Kindergarten. From here, walk along the gravel road across the hillside. Follow this road until its end where you will have to walk across the stream on a planked footway and continue onto a path leading you through a short forest section. Once you come out of the forest, keep to the left onto the gravel road along the coastline. After a few hundred metres the road swings down onto a timber stacking area next to E39, with a gate on each side. Here it is also possible to go over the fence on the upper side of the area. The trail destination is on the upper side of the gravel road.
You will find the Stikk UT postbox at the edge of the forest at the turnaround along the gravel road. From here, you can follow the same way back to the starting point.
The trail starts from the car park down by Astaddalen Museum and Outdoor Kindergarten in Batnfjord. If you are riving, you can follow E39 in the direction of Kristiansund from the municipality centre in Batnfjordsøra. Turn left about 400 m after you cross the bridge and follow the sign to Blakstad. Then take the first turn to the left and follow the Solsidavegen road up towards the residential area in Solsida. After about 450 m, take the first turn to the right and drive along the Haltbrekkvegen road. You will see a car park down by the kindergarten. If you are driving from the direction of Kristiansund, the turnoff to Blakstad will be a few hundred metres after a new 70 km/h speed limit. There is a bus stop right next to the turnoff from E39.
