This trail goes along a tractor road and a path which are parts of the Pilgrim Route that St. Olav followed in the winter of 1028–1029 when he had to escape the country. The trail is part of the route he followed from Valldal to Dombås, and it is included into the network of the national pilgrim routes.
If you are driving along E-136 from the north, turn off towards Brøste right after you pass the border between the counties of Møre og Romsdal and Oppland. Drive up to Fremre Brøste and park your car at the signed car park. Remember to pay a parking fee of 20 NOK. Follow the toll road to Kabben/Tunga until you pass the first bridge. Take the turn to the left right after the bridge and follow the tractor road for a couple of kilometres. The tractor road will later become less clear and turn into a path. The final section of the path before the trail postbox is newly made which is why it is not clearly seen in the terrain. But it has good and frequent waymarks. The trail postbox is located right on the border between the counties of Møre og Romsdal and Oppland. The trail does not have a strong ascent and primarily keeps to the altitude mark of 700 altitude meters the entire time. Source:
