Ørnehaugen

Ørnehaugen is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Aukra. From the top of Ørnehaugen you will get an impressive view over the Ormen Lange facility at Nyhamna. You will also enjoy an amazing view towards Bud and Bjørnsund. Take your time to read from several information boards you will see on your way.

There is a ferry connection with Hollingsholmen (route 31). Follow the sign to Nyhamna. As you reach the Ormen Lange onshore facility, take the turn to the right at the junction by Shell's administrative building. Leave your car at the car park on the opposite side of the pump station (yellow building) in Eikrem (by the Ormen Lange facility). Follow the new path that goes along the edge of the forest until you reach the road just off the warehouse at Shell. You will find an information board there. Follow the tractor road further until you see some tables and benches. Turn left here and follow the path in the direction of Ørnehaugen. From the top of Ørnehaugen you will get an impressive view over the Ormen Lange facility at Nyhamna. You will also enjoy an amazing view towards Bud and Bjørnsund.
