A hike to Nordneset Lighthouse from Julshamna is an amazing experience in both good and stormy weather! The trail runs along the coastline with a beautiful view of the ocean and Hustadvika. This scenic hike is fairly easy. It follows a gravel path all the way to the lighthouse. About half way through the hike, you can sit down on a bench with a table and enjoy the view and fresh sea air while learning about the exciting history of Hustadvika from the information board.
Route description
From the car park, walk straight ahead to the sign for Nordneset. You will pass a large stone with an interesting information board. The path curves to the left and runs west towards Nordneset Lighthouse. Soon after the start, you will walk past a new and an old boathouse. The path weaves along the coastline in the direction of the lighthouse in the west, and you will see several cultural sights with information boards along the way.
Access and parking
You can park your car by the Julshamna harbour, but the car park can only accommodate 3–4 cars. You can also park down by the quay. (There are plans to extend the parking area in the future.)

There are several cultural sights with information boards along the way. In spring, you can enjoy the diverse vegetation of the coastal area. If you feel like it and are in good shape, continue walking from the lighthouse to Farstadsanden, a large and beautiful beach. If you need to shelter from bad weather or enjoy an outdoor meal, you can use a barbecue place and a gapahuk shelter called “Håla” just off the car park in Julshamna. There is also an outdoor sitting area and an outside toilet behind the building.
