The hike along Åsevegen Road is a steady climb. The trail mostly follows an asphalt road and is perfect for an afternoon walk. As you climb up, you will get a great view all the way to the Åramsundet Strait. This is a circular trail that follows a new road and later an old traffic-free road.
Route description
From the car park by Coop Marked, walk up to the football pitch. Walk across the pitch and take the asphalt walkway. Turn left and walk up the road once you get to Åsevegen. It is common to follow the new road up to the trail destination and the old road as a return route. From here, follow the road until you reach a farm. You will see a trail postbox attached to a cattle shed.
Access and parking
The trail starts from the centre of Rovde. You can park your car either by Coop Marked along County Road 652 (FV652) or by the Rovde football pitch which is just above the grocery store (take Skulevegen to get to the football pitch).
