Middagsvatnet in Måndalen

The trail to Lake Middagsvatnet has a gentle ascent and follows a forest road for the first 3 km. The forest road ends after about 3 km, and the final section of the trail offers some more strenuous climbs along with a beautiful pine forest and magnificent mountains all around you.

Follow the Stikk Ut Ski trail signs. Start skiing along the illuminated ski trail west of the sports hall. After about 150 metres, the trail continues along a slightly ascending forest road for about 3 km up to Nysetra. Follow the Stikk Ut Ski signs for Lake Middagsvatnet. After about 1.0 km, you will pass a summer mountain farm called Røsta. Keep following the signs for Lake Middagsvatnet. You will pass through open terrain with some steep sections and reach Lake Middagsvatnet after 2.5 km.

Turn off E136 at the junction by Voll Church in the Måndalen Valley, at the sign for Venås. Turn left off the main road after about 1.5 km. You will see a sign that reads “Stadion”. Follow the road through the residential area until you reach the sports venue. Park your car by the Måndalshallen sports hall.
