Leave your car at the car park next to Trollstigen Camping and Guesthouse. Follow the motor road for about 600 m in the direction of Åndalsnes until you reach the road exit near the barn in the Isterdalen valley. Follow the forest road from here, cross the Istra Bridge and continue further to the junction. The road continues for 200 m to the right leading down to the small lake Megårdsdammen. There is trout in the lake which you can feed. It is strictly prohibited to fish in the lake. The lake is fenced and equipped with benches, the place for a fire and long tables. Source:
