The trail at a glance

This is an easy trail to a beautiful fishing lake. The path is well-prepared, it does not ascend too much and the surface is mostly paved with stones, so that it is convenient to walk here even when it is wet.

Route description

From the village of Innfjorden, follow the sign to Bøstølen. You will need to drive through the entire village with its beautiful rural landscape before you turn off to the right at the sign for Bøstølen. The road goes past a power station and continues to the toll station. Follow the toll road to Hersla as it takes you past Lake Berillvatnet with the Berillstølen farm next to it and cross the river to the right in the direction of Bøstølen. Drive to the car park through the summer mountain farm area. Park your car in Røsta after you pass Bøstølen (toll road). Follow the road further up until you reach the first bridge and turn right just after the bridge (signposted). From here, follow the path which is well-marked with red signs all the way to Lake Litlevatnet. The path is well-prepared and does not involve much climbing. There is a nice picnic area at the lake, and a boat is available for those who bought a fishing licence. Children can go fishing free of charge. Source:
