Follow the sign to Lågfjellet. There is a rope along the stairs which you can hold on your way up. Take the left turn when you come to a forest road crossing. Follow the trail up towards Seterhaugen, and the sign to Lågfjellet will show the way behind the cabins. After about 200 metres you will pass a grey hut on your right-hand side. The trail continues further covering some moderate terrain and marshy areas. Once you have walked across the wet section using the planked footway, you will see the “gapahuk” shelter right in front of you. Follow the solid path as it takes you past the Wernerhytta cabin where some climbing begins. The path goes right next to the wall of the cabin. Once you are above the tree line, you will get a beautiful view towards the island of Averøya. You will also see the cairn once the terrain flattens out.
