The trail to the Kvilehytta Cabin in Moltu has a gradual ascent and covers easy terrain. The road is cleared from snow in winter. This trail is suitable for everyone all year round. It can be used both as part of a workout or a Sunday walk with children.
Route description
Follow the road from Kvia as it takes you up into the valley. The road is cleared from snow up to the junction just before Klovsteinen. The road that continues into the Moltudalen Valley and further to Lake Mørkevatnet is also cleared from snow in winter. Walk up the road from the car park as it gradually ascends towards the junction where you will find Kvilehytta. Feel free to read a book or play games in the cabin. You can also enjoy the northern lights and the scenic view both from inside or outside the cabin.
The area is perfect for hiking for those who want to explore more.
Access and parking
Follow County Road 5868 (FV5868) in the direction of Moltu and take Nygjerdevegen Road by the Coop shop in Moltu. Follow this road until you reach Kvia where you can park your car. You will see a sign for the hiking car park.
