Kleppeåsen is a wooden hill that offers a nice view of Leikongvika and the village of Leikong. The Gurskøy Sports Association (Gurskøy IL) set up a postbox with a trail journal on the hilltop.
From the junction, follow the road east for about 30 m. The path starts in the middle of the road turn and runs northeast through the dense forest until it reaches the hilltop.
Turn off County Road 61 (FV61) at the junction east of Leikong Church (you will see a sign for Voldnes). Drive along Jøsokvegen for about 1.3 km, turn right, continue for about 600 m until you reach a junction with a road to Kleppefurene where you can park your car.
There is room for 2–3 cars to park along the road. If there is not enough parking space there, drive to a larger car park next to the school/community centre 250 m further down the road.
