Gyrinakken

Gyrinakken lies on the border of Herøy and Sande municipalities. This scenic hiking trail follows forest roads most of the time. The Gurskøy Sports Association (Gurskøy IL) set up a postbox with a trail journal on the top. The hike starts from the car park in Kleppefurene. Walk west along the forest road and turn left at the first junction (after about 100 m). Continue south for about 100 m and turn right at the junction. Walk west along the road for about 800 m and turn left at the junction. Follow this road almost until its end (about 200 m). Here, the path turns left and climbs west through the forest until it reaches the top. All junctions are marked with signs pointing to Gyrinakken.

Turn off County Road 61 (FV61) at the junction east of Leikong Church (you will see a sign for Voldnes). Drive along Jøsokvegen for about 1.3 km, turn right, continue for about 600 m, and turn right at the junction after the school/community centre. Follow the forest road for about 600 m until you reach the car park in Kleppefurene. Park your car there.
