Frøystadtua

Frøystadtua is located between Frøystad, Torvika, and Røyra. You will get a view of Herøy and Ulstein municipalities.

The starting point of this hike is the old road in Koppen. The path begins between the main road and the exit road to the stone quarry. Follow the path as it takes you up through the forest. After the forest, continue along the path over marshes and rocks until you reach the hilltop. There are bridges over the wettest marshy areas.

If you enter County Road 654 (FV654) from the south, drive for about 1 km past the Herøy Bridge and turn right at a pedestrian crossing. Park your car on the old road before the stone quarry. If you enter County Road 654 (FV654) from the north, drive for about 900 m past the junction in Frøystad and turn left at the pedestrian crossing. Park your car on the old road before the stone quarry. Car parking is available on the old road in Koppen. Heavy vehicles might need access to the quarry, so please leave room for them when parking.
