Route description
A gravel road with a boom gate will take you from the car park to a shelter. The path to the top of Freikollen is well-trodden all the way up from the starting point. Follow the road past the shelter and further up the slalom slope. You will clearly see the path on the right side of the slope. Once you are at the top of the slalom slope, follow the path that goes to the right. The path will now go through some steep terrain with rocks and roots on the surface, and through some dense forest areas. The landscape will later become more open, and you will be able to see the mountain top. You will see several cairns along the way showing you the way up to the top. This is a challenging trail with steep sections closer to the end.
