Einset

This lovely loop trail takes you through diverse natural surroundings with a view of both the sea and land. The trail is stroller-friendly and suitable for both workouts and relaxed walks. Note! Please do not drive to the trail postbox. Park your car by the Fjord Centre as described.

From the Fjord Centre, follow the footpath in the direction of the Straumsund Bridge. Instead of walking over the bridge, follow the footpath under it. You will soon come all the way down to the sea. You will see a large new building on your left and three boathouses and a quay on your right. The Straumsnes Fjord Culture Centre is being built here under the direction of the Straumsnes Village Museum and Straumsnes Utrorslag (boat association). You might even spot a traditional Norwegian boat, Geitbåt, out in the sea. The trail continues along the gravel road and follows a couple of gentle slopes. A nature reserve will be on your left-hand side. As you walk further, you will see a red house straight ahead of you. Soon after you walk past it, the gravel road will change to an asphalt road. After a couple of metres along the asphalt road, the road will take a left turn. Continue straight ahead and you will come to a postbox stand that reads “Einset”. Turn left just after that and continue following the road. You will soon see the Fjord Centre. There is an underground passage under National Road 70 (Rv 70), so you do not have to cross over the road.

The trail starts from the Fjord Centre. There is plenty of parking space there. The trail follows a gravel and an asphalt road. Stroller-friendly. Duration: about 45 minutes at a leisurely pace. You can park your car by the Fjord Centre.
